Exploring the city

At Riddle's Court, one of the very few surviving merchant's houses on the Royal Mile. Callie is sitting in the drawing room with a gorgeous view behind her and century old wallpaper. Edinburgh has such great hidden history.  We are having so much fun walking around and finding the less touristy destinations.

This ceiling is one of 40 plaster ceilings left in all of Scotland!

We saw the Queen today as we were having lunch at one of our favorite cafes (we have eaten there three days in a row). Unfortunately we didn't get a picture of her and we only saw a glimpse of her through the monstrous crowd of people.
